Has anyone heard if all the new cell phones have the "clicking" noise when you take pictures that you cannot turn off? I read that somewhere beacause of all the people snapping upskirt pictures and such that now the phones have the clicking sound hen you take a picture that you cannot turn off~ Juts curious
Yeah Mr Mike. I pointed that out to MMB last week, when he asked if anyone knew how to turn off the noise on his newest phone. Sadly, all new phones MUST have the highly loud noise now, even if the phone is set to silent or vibrate and YES, it's because of a-hole upskirts snappers who were MORE than obvious as to what they were doing, as opposed to stealthy progression. So like the idiots who wrote all the HSN & QVC ladies begging them to show their hosed feet more often which of course screwed THAT for the rest of us, phone shots of hosed feet will soon be a thing of the past. This was in response to a class action suit brought against cell phone providers by women's activist groups and lawyers (DAMN YOU GLORIA ALREAD!)
Yep, I guess by softwer modification it must be possible. The only thing is to find a person who has the knowledge and will not see in you kind of a maniac for taking hidden camera pics.
Thats pretty much the reason....but just fyi, i believe Samsung still has a couple of models that have "silent" option when taking pics (not sure abt the States but at least here in Asia). 1 model worthy fo mention is Soul U900...5MP autofocus, sound and AF both can be disabled. The shot-to-shot response time is pretty good too!
Another way i managed to oversome this is to switch to the "non-convetional" shutter sounds. There are usually 2-3 sounds u may select and 1 would be a beep or something close. By selecting that, your subject would usually not think that u are taking a pic even if she hears it...at least not until u are gone!
